10 cm Blocks

Saffron Craig - Wednesday, June 17, 2009
Last night I started to chop up the owl nesting fabric. I cut up 10 cm squares and started doing some crazy block piecing. This is a few of the blocks I hand stitched, while I watched 80 gardens of the world. It is the beginning of a new quilt. One with small pieces, large appliqué and piecing. The tiny ant which crawls up the tree in the owls nesting is one of the fabric's tiny details that might get lost on the product images in the shop.
