Australian Quilt Market Melbourne

Saffron Craig - Monday, November 28, 2011

I am back from Melbourne, on display was the last six month of my work.

I decided to use Instagram to record the booth this year. I like to pack light. The cute hippo was sewn by Jodie of Two Monkeys. Thanks for that.

Toni and I. Carly of Umbrella Prints, a lovely designer and you can see their work here.

In summary I loved being in Melbourne and enjoying the vibrant city and the show was busy and there was a lot of competition.

I took orders all weekend, catching up with people, chatting and laughing. Some funny people out there. Always good to see old faces and repeat customers letting me know my fabrics sell in their shops. Bless them. The new Magical Lands range is liked by all. Yippee.

I did party at night. I like a good time. A friend took me out and shouted me to a bar hop with snacks of tapas along the way and to boot a tour off Melbourne's awesome lane-ways. Melbourne is great. Full of life and loveliness.

Some of the awesome sites on the streets I snapped before night fell..

Then it is  time to make the  flight home, ears complain about the pressure. The sun is out. It feels good. Lovely chatty people next to me make me feel warm and cozy.

Hugs from the family. I was missed.
