have been curious about embroidery since I met Nicole in Holland. I
have been taking in as much inspiration as I could find to start my
own piece, reading books and blogs. But after watching Bright Star I came home
and knew it was time to start my first embroidery project.
My sketch book has a lot of sketched ideas for appliqué blocks, so I took one of the drawings, drew the sketch onto fabrics and started to embroider it. Back stitching in various coloured threads, then I filled in the shapes. It's very much a start but I'm starting to get a feel for it.
