Fairy Quilt

Saffron Craig - Saturday, January 30, 2010
I now understand why there is a "pinch and punch" for the first day of the month! It's a form of reality check. I am a bit amazed that it's already February and that it's the first day of term One for our daughter to be back at pre-school. The days of doing as we pleased, the endless Summer is now is to be replaced by routine, and watching the clock.

This is the Fairy Quilt I have been playing with. It's all hand stitched in lovely curvy lines. I think I can call it completed. I will finish drawing up the pattern soon and turn it into a PDF so you can make one too. It should be a fun one to make. With all the girls around me needing quilts I might have to make two more.

Hi, Saffron. I have purchased quite a bit of your fabric through fabricworm. And then I became an avid reader of Kate Conklin's blog. All day long I have been going back to her blog and looking at the new quilt. I can't get it out of my head. The fabric is so gorgeous. So I finally just quit fretting and ordered the kit. *sigh* Now I can relax for the weekend...

Oh, crikey. That means I have to wait until March 1st for my reality check. I was kind of counting on one earlier. Gorgeous fairies - especially love the use of the darker tones...
