Friday finds me thinking about what I am sewing for Christmas and here are some great tutorials I have been reading.
I so want to be organized for Christmas this year. I want to make it a special one as I am hosting the family. I have been posting all my favourite images on my pinterest board called Christmas.
Although this video on making fabric balls is from last year I really want to give it a go. I first saw it on Meet me at Mikes and was reminded of it again on Poppytalk. It is so sweet.
Pom poms are top on my list. I love this tutorial.
I am imagining that I make 10 large ones in red and hang them over my dining room table.
I do love trees and I think fabrics trees are going to make everything so festive. I could make a park for the mantle with some white cushion infill around them to make us think of snow.
Thanks to Lemon Tree creations for the tutorial. You can watch it here.

How about some star place mats for the table? And a table runner from my Tree Pods in red, which will be vailable next week or so.

This would look lovely on my door frames. The children will be delighted. Here's a tutorial on how to make it.
So if you come knocking on my door hopefully you will find one of these hanging on it. Mine will be in red.

As a handmade gift idea for my daughter and nieces I am inspired to make a version of this dolls quilt from the book Pretty Patchwork Quilts Little Stitch.
Thanks to Anella and her blog comfort stitching. Though mine will have to have a dog. The family is just dog crazy.
Christmas is a great time to get crafty. Can you feel how excited I am?
