Little town

Saffron Craig - Monday, July 20, 2009
We went to visit a "little town today" and when we got there Sequoia exclaimed "but everything is BIG!"
Woudrichem is a medieval fort protected by a ring wall and water. It is charming.

I wanted to show the "Quilt Speciaalzaak" our fabrics, this shop in the center of town is a real treat.

The fabrics below which I photographed in the shop represent a history of Dutch textiles. Den Haan en Wagenmakers fabric are based on antique Dutch manuscripts that were designed by Rudolf den Haan and printed in The Netherlands. I love the Indian inspiration.

And this is the view of the town with the usual cathedral in the middle.
We also found a little curiosity shop called "old love" that spanned over 4 tiny floors with the smallest of steps. When Sequoia hit the attic she thought she was in heaven as it was stacked with old toys...
