Moving to Margaret River

Saffron Craig - Tuesday, March 01, 2011
Last night before I went to bed I looked at the hardly been played with dolls house and decided to make it exciting. We found all the furniture, I even managed to find the loo. I decorated the house and put all the family to bed. It took a good while.
I thought if we played doll house it might encourage my little one to use it and stop driving cars. Yep she loves cars. She woke up delighted discovering the renewed dolls house. And we played. I was so proud!

Then I thought I might read the new Frankie magazine. Next time I looked up she had trucks (recycled plastic containers) filled up with all the insides of her dolls house driving them around the room!

"What are you doing?" I asked.
"We're moving to Margaret River. I just can't fit the fridge".
Ah well. I tried.

Wow! What an industrious little girl you have!? Could never guess where that came from! :)

I grew up with 3 sisters and we did have dolls, but I much rather played cowboys and indians with the boy that lived next door, or on hot summer days drench them from the garden hose when the boys were riding their scooters up and down the street! But all that is a very very long time ago! And I still prefer to talk and play games with the boys rather than the girls! Love it whilst it lasts, because you will miss it when she grows up and gets into ,,, makeup and nailpolish and clothes!

I, too, loved playing with cars and guns (the cowboy kind) when I was a little girl. Had the whole cowgirl outfit with a holster and hat and boots! It was wonderful! I did have dolls too, but they took a back seat till I was about 9.
Love the doll house, it's really cute!

She needs to learn how to tetris pack a car like my dad. :)

Absolutely adorable.

I used to play with trucks as a kid too, bears as well. never had much time for dolls.

I have one just like this too!! She loves all the "little" things, that come with bigger toys and these get bundled into the Dora van or barbie car and "become" other things, than what they are intended!! Perhaps its like cutting up perfectly good fabric into shapes and then resewing into other shapes, to make a quilt, or pillow case or cushion or....or.....or.......yes, where DO they get it from!!
