Spring shirt made with the Floating Flowers fabric

Saffron Craig - Tuesday, October 25, 2011

One day it's hot cold the next—such is Sydney's Spring weather. So time for a new shirt. I'm planning to make a few of these for my friends and get their feedback before I finalise a pattern.

I also created a few other patterns which are on the way.

On the weekend I watched Patrick's band play at a birthday party. We then sat around a campfire roasting marshmallows and eating chocolate crackles, real ones made from 100% chocolate. I wish I had one now right now.

Floating Flowers fabric available here.

Would you make and wear this shirt?

Yes I would so wear this shirt I live in a beautiful sunny part of mid west Western Australia and in my thirties now so I need to start covering that aging skin of mine ....this would be gorgeous for that as it is still flowy(not sure if thats a word)
Your creations are always gorgeous yet functional...TFS :-)

Love it, would really like to make it and I like the variations mentioned in other comments.

I love it! I would definitely wear it but agree a 3/4 sleeve would be good for the Spring.

Yes, but I would make it longer (tunic dress type length) and I would make the sleeves be roll up 3/4 ones with a little button tab.

Yep! I'd make it and wear it. In fact I think I'd make several, and maybe one in a lovely fine wool (like maybe a Liberty...).

Its gorgeous and I absolutely would make it for myself! Especially if the pattern came in a LARGER size?
